Job description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director of Simulation Training - Midwifery Services to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details
  • Partner with Medical and Nursing Administration, Education leadership, and the Simulation Center to develop and enhance a comprehensive maternal mortality and morbidity simulation program.
  • Lead the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of simulation‑based maternal safety education programs.
  • Coordinate and oversee course administration, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) activities, as appropriate.
  • Prepare simulation environments and facilitate the delivery of high‑fidelity clinical scenarios.
  • Develop and refine simulation scenarios aligned with educational goals, best practices, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support learning objectives and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to fellow Simulation Educators in the planning and delivery of simulation experiences.
  • Contribute to the advancement of maternal health education through innovative teaching strategies and program development.
  • Up to one day of clinical responsibility (negotiable).
Qualifications
  • Licensure as a Midwife by the New York State Department of Education.
  • At least 2-5 years’ Midwifery experience.
  • Knowledgeable regarding the use, and skilled in the operation, of simulator technologies—anatomic models, task trainers, screen‑based simulations, full body mannequins, and virtual reality/hybrid simulators.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software relevant to simulator functions.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $180,000* based on 40‑hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $198,000**, which includes the baseline salary, and other factors as set forth below.

401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):

Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.

Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.

Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
