Reports to: Store Manager
Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Anchorage, AK
Compensation: Salary of $5,000 per month during 2-3 months of training, converting after training to a Salary + Commission Structure with Estimated Earnings Potential of $60,000-$110,000 per year!

JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales for Arctic Home Living and/or Alaska EcoWater Systems. This role supports both in-store and field sales efforts through product knowledge, showroom presentation, lead generation, and site visits. The representative plays a key role in advancing Aleut Energy's mission by educating customers, recommending solutions, and ensuring a clean and professional retail environment. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with team objectives and brand standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Champion Aleut Energy values: Integrity, Teamwork, Quality, Innovation, Compassion and Sustainability.
  • Generate new business through personal sales, lead follow-up, canvassing, in-store interactions, and event participation.
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluate property suitability for hot tub / water treatment system installations, including structure and electrical usage.
  • Educate customers on hot tub / water treatment system benefits, system performance, financial savings, and available incentives.
  • Design and propose customized hot tub / water treatment systems based on customer needs, and site conditions.
  • Prepare and deliver quotes, financial analyses (including ROI calculations), and sales contracts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain an organized CRM with current and prospective customer information, leads, follow-up activity, and project notes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition from sales to installation and customer handoff.
  • Support the marketing team by providing input on customer trends and assisting in the rollout of new products and services.
  • Stay current on product offerings, financing options, permitting processes, and utility interconnection requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including materials used, site photos, installation instructions, and customer-related records, ensuring accessibility and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the showroom, inventory, and sales workspace.
  • Attend company-provided training and participate in meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn basic construction, electrical, chemical, and plumbing usage to support retail sales.
  • Competency in conducting needs analysis, preparing accurate quotes, and closing deals.
  • Ability to explain complex technical or financial information in simple terms.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, scheduling platforms, and sales systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to represent the company professionally in diverse settings.
  • General proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to learn technical product knowledge and improve continuously.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. One (1) year of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in home improvement, energy, or related fields.
  3. Must pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  4. Valid driver's license require

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with Alaska Native Corporations.
  2. Experience in hot tub/water system sales is highly desirable.
  3. Working knowledge of water treatment systems, installation processes, and financing options preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; push/pull up to 200 lbs. with assistance.
  • Frequent travel for trade shows, customer meetings, or site visits.
  • May be required to work extended hours or weekends during peak sales periods or company events.
  • Stand or walk for up to 8-12 hours per day, occasionally on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Climb ladders or stairs and carry inventory or equipment as needed.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in conditions ranging from -10ยฐF to 90ยฐF.
  • Safely work near heavy equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.
  • Travel to customer sites and events as required, sometimes over extended distances.
  • Comfortable navigating various site environments (indoor/outdoor, rooftops, mechanical rooms, etc.).
