Job Summary:
The Bowers Group, a Legence company, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Project Manager to join our shop fabrication team. This position is based in the DMV area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain company material standards for pipe, valves, fittings, hangers, and related systems.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure fabrication readiness.
  • Coordinate pipe, valve, and fitting submittals and material buyout activities with project teams and vendors.
  • Monitor material availability, identify long-lead items, and communicate procurement risks.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams to evaluate prefabrication opportunities and capacity requirements for upcoming work.
  • Support planning and execution of prefabricated assemblies, including piping racks, spools, skids, mechanical room assemblies, and other engineered fabrication solutions.
  • Coordinate with BIM/detailing, project management, purchasing, and field operations to support efficient project execution.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives within fabrication operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods of time and traverse different types of terrain and elevations.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs from different levels.
  • Data center project experience preferred.

  • This is an in-field position based in the DMV area.

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $155,000.
