About the Role:

The Shop Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness and safety of rental equipment within the Rental and Leasing Services industry. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and equipment to meet company standards and customer expectations. The technician will work closely with the service team to perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute preventive maintenance tasks. By maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime, the technician directly contributes to customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of rental operations. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive approach to equipment care, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably in rental equipment or heavy machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, own adequate hand tools and have the ability to work well with others and independently.
