Job description

Bilingual Shop Helper
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Bilingual Shop Helper (Laborer) for a company based in Alexandria, VA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support an HVAC distribution center that values craftsmanship, teamwork, and hands-on skill development.

Pay Rate
$17.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 4:00pm
Most days will end at 3pm, but work until 4 will be expected if busy

Shop Helper Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build pallets and skids used for shipping HVAC products
  • Package, label, and organize materials for distribution
  • Assist with large-scale order preparation, including high-volume unit counts
  • Operate basic shop tools such as nail guns, drills, and chop saws
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Shop Helper Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous warehouse, shop, or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
  • Comfortable using hand tools and working with various materials
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn new skills
