Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Sign Fabricator & Installer is responsible for the presentation of park signage, key installations, and the proper care of equipment/assets. This position is a major player in aspects of Park Promotions, Seasonal Events (Park Openings, Easter, Summer Promotions, Great Pumpkin LumiNights, and Christmas and general park upkeep. A day in the life is hands-on installations, setups, equipment operations, and handling of work list as assigned. The ideal candidate is self-driven with minimal need for ongoing supervision, can take direction and perform tasks, can meet park deadlines and work under pressure, has a positive attitude and outlook, and can help in forwarding our mission of Creating Memories Worth Repeating. This position oversees seasonal events team members at various times of the year and works closely with Park Aesthetics/Graphics Designer.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Manage the on-park sign shop to ensure projects are properly prioritized, printed, and installed.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the sign shop
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of Sign Shop and Sign Shop equipment. Ensure proper cleaning cycles and servicing for Printer.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget, accounting for re-occurring requests, and anticipating future needs.
  • Develop cost-effective ways of delivering signage that reduce waste and eliminate clutter
  • Partner with Facilities to identify and develop plans to address messaging needs that may include paint, color refresh, missed opportunities, etc. Be actively involved in the execution of the plans.
  • Work with all teams to ensure all projects/requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure timeliness and cost-effective delivery of printed material and print shop resources (ink, vinyl, banner, etc.)
  • Develop systems that streamline the signage process, as well as facilitate regular feedback to departments on the status of outstanding projects
  • Audit completed projects prior to delivery/installation to ensure accuracy.
  • Partner with project teams on seasonal projects, to include Great Pumpkin Luminights and Christmas product, providing support and resources throughout the project
  • Provide Leadership and Direction to Sign Shop Team Members
  • Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and in presence of dust and odors. Team Members are susceptible to the exposure of various chemicals, bodily fluids and blood borne pathogens, prolonged exposure to sunlight

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of audio sites, track creation software and previous experience with audio/soundtrack creation.
Physical Requirements: Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception), Ability to climb ladders.
