Job description

Signs of the South is a fast growing custom sign shop located in Savannah, GA that deals primarily with construction contractors as we design, fabricate, and install custom signage. We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Administrative Assistant with Management experience to oversee our designers and aid projects from concept to completion. 

This is a client-focused environment where professionals manage multiple projects across different industries. As an administrative assistant, you will collaborate directly with our designers and handle communications with clients and vendors to deliver high-quality visual and operational outcomes. The work often involves handling phone and email communications, working directly with designers to see projects through to completion, looking over specs and plans of prospective projects, and assisting in any way to the designers and CEO.


Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey needed information to other employees and supervisor
  • Management experience and capabilities, as well as an understanding of how to manage
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and Google Suite, as well as Outlook
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and ability to create quotes for clients
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator), including layout, typography, and visual branding
  • An outlook to learn new skills


Responsibilities: 

  • Managing phone and email communications between clients, designers, and CEO
  • Creating spreadsheets or other organizational tools to manage and track the progress of ongoing projects
  • Serve as communication between CEO and designers in order to communicate progress of signage projects
  • Look at prospective jobs coming in and assess if theyโ€™re a fit for the company
  • Review blueprints and specification documents from contractors to indicate if designers should bid on it
  • Completing and applying for permits using designed mockups and other specs


This full-time position is offered Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, working onsite at the office location (5507 Export Blvd, Savannah, GA 31408). $17.50 an hour. Pay will include six nationally recognized holidays.
