Job Summary: The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregiver Compensation and Benefits:

Caregiver Responsibilities:

  • Help clients take prescribed medication
  • Assist clients with ambulation and mobility aroundย the house or outside (doctorโ€™s appointments,ย walks etc.)
  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
  • Help clients complete physical therapy and otherย recommended exercises
  • Do the clientโ€™s shopping or accompany them whenย they shop if needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients canโ€™tย complete on their own, including preparing meals
  • Collect information about conditions and treatmentย plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and familyย members
  • Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors andย family members
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements:

  • Previous caregiver experience preferred butย not required
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association)ย Certification
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safetyย standards
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cookingย with attention to dietary constraints
  • Must be respectful and compassionate with a goodย bedside manner
  • Outstanding communication, time managementย and interpersonal skills
  • Physical endurance to complete required tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
