Job description

Compensation Rate: $15.00/hr
What you get to do:
  • Responsible for reproduction, installation and maintenance of all park signage and visual support.
  • Work with the other members of the workshops team to maintain park quality and integrity related to signage and visual support.
  • Work with outside departments to maintain park quality as related to signage and visual support.
  • Assist in the development and training of sign shop personnel.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized work environment (shops and storage).
  • Deployment and installation of signage for all related events.
  • Maintenance and/or repair of all signage, equipment, and hardware.
  • Able to make small lay out changes to signs by using Adobe Creative programs.
  • Assist with training and development of all lower-level sign shop personnel.
  • Support park wide special events with set-up and strike of signage as needed.
  • Practice safety as it pertains to SEA Best Practices and Rigging Standards and all other relevant industry guidelines.

What it takes to succeed:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of professional experience as a Sign Technician or other related discipline.
  • Knowledge of design principles, print production and sign production.
  • Ability to fabricate a sign and/or visual project from an approved rendering to installation with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Roland Versa Works computer software programs required.
  • Must be able to obtain a SWSA driver's license, boom lift and forklift certifications.
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
  • Knowledge of advanced tools, building materials, and hardware (table saw, band saw, drill press, sanders, jigsaw, skill saw, routers, gravity feed spray guns and compressors).
  • Knowledge of custom mixing and matching paint colors.
  • Must be physically capable of working at heights (boom lifts, man lifts, ladders, and scaffolds).
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
