Homestead-Miami Speedwayhas been open since 1995 following an initiative to spur economic recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. The Speedway, which was founded by Miami businessman, racing enthusiast and philanthropist Ralph Sanchez, is a 650-acre facility that features a 1.5-mile oval and 2.21-mile road course. The Speedway hosts on-track events nearly 300 days per year and generates more than $301 million annually for the region. NASCAR crowned champions in all three of its national series at Homestead-Miami Speedway for 18 straight years (2002-19) and will once again host NASCAR Championship weekend in 2026.

Homestead-Miami Speedway seeks a talented professional to join Facility Operations in the position of Sign Shop Manager based in Homestead, Florida.

Responsible for fabrication of signs ranging from 1'x1' to 4'x8' and larger, and other duties for properly representing the HMS brand across its facilities and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Computer skills a must, with working knowledge of Adobe Suite 2025, Gerber Omega 5.0. and other graphic design programs
  • Large and small format printers: Gerber En Vision, Roland TrueVIS VG3-540, Roland VP-540
  • Safely use various vinyl cutters both large and small.
  • Uses hand and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining signage across the HMS properties.
  • High attention to detail
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proactive in finding and replacing damaged, worn or faded signs around property
  • Painting duties as needed, both facility buildings and racing surface
  • Other general maintenance duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1-3 people and contractors

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Hours will vary but will include all hours of operation, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to support events and to fulfill job responsibilities. Acceptance of work hours customary in the field of sports/entertainment is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 - 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida driver's license
