Sign Maker / Installer (Design & Production)
Position Overview
This is not a Graphic Design Position. The Sign Maker / Installer is responsible for creating, fabricating, and installing high-quality signage and graphics projects. This role combines creative design work with hands-on production and installation, with approximately 40% of time dedicated to design and pre-production and 60% dedicated to fabrication, finishing, and installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in both a design environment and field settings.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in sign printing and installation of wraps/graphics required
  • Proficiency with design software (Adobe Illustrator required; Photoshop a plus)
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques
  • Ability to read drawings, layouts, and work orders
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to details
Must be able to pass a drug test
Key Responsibilities
Design & Pre-Production (40%)
  • Create and prepare artwork for signs, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, and related projects using industry-standard design software
  • Set up print-ready files, verify dimensions, colors, materials, and installation requirements
  • Collaborate with sales and project management to ensure designs meet customer expectations and production standards
  • Perform file checks, revisions, and approvals before production

Production & Installation (60%)
  • Print, laminate, cut, weed, and apply vinyl and digital graphics

  • Prepare surfaces and install graphics and signage on vehicles, walls, windows, and exterior structures
  • Safely operate tools, ladders, and shop equipment
  • Perform installations following safety protocols and quality standards
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and job site setup and cleanup

Compensation Structure:
  • Base pay $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience and skill level
  • Quarterly bonuses based on performance
  • Projected pay can range from $60,000 to $72,000
