Graphics Production and Installer

We are looking for a driven, ambitious individual with interest and experience as a lead operative for Dietz & Watson's Graphics Department as the Graphics Production and Installer. Responsibilities include managing the execution of sign request jobs and other printed collateral. Knowledgeable with cutting substrates, installing vinyl, finishing banners and signs is required. Must be organized, detailed, and a self-starter. This individual's primary responsibility is taking the raw materials, plus the printed or cut media, to create the finished product. Assisting lead installer with on site sign installations, at customer locations, may also be a component of this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive sign requests; process and execute.
  • Collaborate on setting sign and fleet graphics install's schedules.
  • Keep inventory of materials.
    • Place orders as needed.
  • Help determine the best process of execution of the project (outsource vs. in-house).
  • Perform equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assists with in-house sign production; taking raw materials, with the printed or cut media, to create the finished product.
  • Produces variety of (2D and/or 3D) signs and other auxiliary media; including laminating, hand-trimming, drilling, routing and large format.
  • Assists with preparations for complex or major installs.
  • Set up and break down Sales and Marketing events.
  • Execute installs, locally and/or nationally, using knives and sign-making tools including cutters and saws.
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information (measurements, pictures) and trends to prepare reports.
  • Manages and maintains project status through our project management software.

Minimum Requirements
Requirements:
  • Professional Certification, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related experience, preferred.
  • Experience in vinyl application is a must.
  • Vehicle vinyl application experience, preferred.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Mechanically inclined with a keen designer eye.
  • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 25%-50% either locally or nationally, including possible overnight stays.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to develop existing skills while maintaining an emphasis on learning new skills.
  • Must be experienced using knives and other sign-making tools including drill, saws and other power tools.
  • Dedication to quality.
  • Valid Real ID driver's license and or Passport.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder or stand at high heights for installations.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long period of time.
