The Commercial Designer is responsible for transforming complex business objectives into visually compelling, story-driven assets and presentation concepts that inspire action and drive results across Pacers Sports & Entertainment properties, including the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, Noblesville Boom, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the Fieldhouse District.
This role sits at the intersection of creative storytelling and business strategy, supporting the Commercial Strategy, Global Partnerships, New Business Ventures, Business Analytics, and Creative teams. The ideal candidate can translate goals, data, and insights into bold and cohesive visual narratives, building decks, mockups, and proof-of-concept assets that bring ideas and opportunities to life. This role may require you to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategically translate business and sponsorship goals, audience insights, and data into presentation concepts that persuade and inform.
  • Concept, design, and build high-impact sales and pitch assets for Commercial Strategy, Global Partnerships, New Business Ventures, Business Analytics, and internal Creative initiatives.
  • Develop visual frameworks and storytelling systems that elevate how we present brand stories, campaigns, and partnership opportunities.
  • Create mockups and proof-of-concept visuals that showcase how brand integrations come to life in partnership campaigns that elevate available inventory and assets (e.g. in-arena signage, digital, social, experiential, broadcast).
  • Design infographics and data visualizations that simplify complex information into digestible, memorable visuals.
  • Build and maintain reusable slide templates and presentation systems that ensure consistency across all Pacers Sports & Entertainment brands.
  • Partner with Commercial Strategy, Global Partnerships, and New Business Ventures to craft visual narratives for partner recaps, renewals, and new business pitches.
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics to visualize performance data, ROI, and insights in ways that are clear, credible, and visually engaging.
  • Support creative leadership with internal presentations, campaign recaps, and concept decks that align cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate multimedia elements (motion, animation, video snippets) when appropriate to enhance storytelling and presentation flow.
  • Ensure brand continuity and visual excellence across all materials representing Pacers Sports & Entertainment.
  • This role may require you to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a presentation designer or visual storyteller; experience in sports, entertainment, or agency environments strongly preferred.
  • Expert in Keynote, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Digideck or similar sales enablement platforms is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate data, strategy, and partnership insights into compelling visual concepts and narratives.
  • Strong understanding of information hierarchy, typography, layout, and design principles.
  • Skilled at creating custom graphics, layouts, and animation for both digital and print presentation environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator - able to work closely with creative, marketing, and sales teams to deliver unified results.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates range across:
    • Presentation storytelling and layout
