Job Description:
Summary Description: A CNC post processor and simulation optimization expert develops and refines post processors to convert CAM software outputs into machine-specific G-code. They also optimize CNC machining processes through simulations and verification, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining, post processing software, and simulation tools.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Post Processor Development & Optimization:

Develop and maintain custom post processors for various CNC machines, ensuring accurate and efficient G-code generation.
  • Simulation and Verification:

Conduct simulations and verification processes to identify potential issues, optimize tool paths, and ensure safety.
  • Process Optimization:

Analyze and optimize machining processes, including feed rates, speeds, and tooling, to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

Diagnoses and resolve issues related to post processing, simulation, and machining processes.
  • Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with engineers, programmers, and operators to provide technical support and expertise.
  • Documentation & Training:

Maintain accurate documentation of post processors, simulations, and machining processes, and train personnel on best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CNC Machining Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CNC machines, machining processes, Siemens NX, and G-code programming.
