About the role

The Electrician will inspect, repair and/or replace electrical control circuits, variable speed controllers, plant lighting, and switchgear 120/480 volt. They will troubleshoot and repair electrical component malfunctions on site equipment and perform corrective maintenance on cranes, motors, compactors, fans, etc. This individual will terminate electric motors 4160 volts or lower. Installing conduit and wiring for new installations and repairs to existing installations is required. Performing preventative maintenance on all site electrical equipment is essential and completing required documentation of work to be done and accomplished. Routinely takes readings using multi-meter and megger for testing of motors and circuits. Reading, interpreting, and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material is required. The Electrician should be able to operate a computer to access the Maintenance Management Program for equipment history and work order reviews, both corrective and preventive.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance electrical systems at a transfer station facility.
  • Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters.
  • Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and its associated equipment including but not limited to compactors, heavy equipment, fans, motors, & mi-jack cranes.
  • Perform various electrical and electrical maintenance and repair work as assigned using proper Reworld safety practices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and problems and complete all maintenance work records.
  • Actively participate in site shutdown work including tear down inspection of electrical plant equipment
  • Work with layout plans and blueprints for electrical equipment installation or troubleshooting work.
  • Keeps work area and tools in clean, same, and orderly manner. Perform plant and shop housekeeping chores.
  • Complete required Reworld training within the assigned timelines.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the leadership team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Formal technical or apprentice training preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate how your actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician
  • Strong working knowledge of 120 to 480 volts.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift Work:

  • Mon-Friday day schedule working 6am-2:30pm; overtime may be required based on business needs

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 34.62 - 46.06 USD per hour
