Physical Therapist
Hockessin, DE

Performance Physical Therapy was founded on a simple belief: treat patients like family, and the rest will follow. Thirty years later, that belief still defines who we are. As a PT-owned practice with deep community roots and a reputation for one-on-one, high-quality care, we continue to serve Hockessin and greater New Castle County, DE with the same compassion and clinical excellence that started it all.
As Performance Physical Therapy continues to grow, we're looking for a Physical Therapist who believes in doing things the right way - thoughtfully, compassionately, and with time to truly make connections.
About the Role
As a Physical Therapist, you'll provide one-on-one care in a supportive, private practice setting. You'll manage a diverse caseload while collaborating with an experienced, close-knit team. Youll treat approximately 1.3 patients per hour, allowing time to focus on meaningful outcomes, not volume. Evaluations are 60 minutes, and follow-ups are structured to prioritize individualized, evidence-based care.
Your typical day includes:
Provide direct patient care focused on meaningful outcomes, education, and plan-of-care adherence.
Develop individualized home exercise programs as needed
Utilize evidence-based interventions across general orthopedics, spine, sports, and vestibular populations.
Communicate progress, expectations, and discharge plans with patients, families, and referral sources.
Complete accurate, compliant, timely documentation in Clinicient (EMR).
Why Performance Physical Therapy?
As a PT-owned practice, we've built a team-centered culture where you can learn, grow, and make a real difference. Our founders remain actively involved in patient care and mentorship, fostering a workplace defined by Honesty, Enthusiasm, Respect, Teamwork, and Family. Our clinics feature private treatment rooms, allowing therapists to focus fully on each patient and deliver the kind of individualized, one-onone care.
We offer:
Competitive pay
CEU + APTA dues reimbursement
Health, dental, and vision coverage
IRA retirement plan with company match
Mentorship for every new hire (new grad or experienced)
Paid time off + paid holidays Performance-based bonus opportunities
Structured pathways for clinical advancement and professional development
And more!
About You
You became a PT to help people move, recover, and live better - and you're looking for a practice that lets you do that well. Whether you're a new grad or an experienced clinician, you want a place where you can grow, feel supported, and make a lasting impact.
We'd love to hear from you if you bring:
An active or eligible Delaware Physical Therapy license (from a CAPTE-accredited program)
A collaborative mindset and commitment to personalized care
Drive to keep learning with interests in specializations such as manual therapy, dry needling, myofascial release, orthopedics, and others
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a patient-focused team
Familiarity with Medicare and third-party payer requirements
