The goal is to make the shopping experience seamless and engaging while maximizing conversions and revenue.

Does Shopify work from home?

Shopify merchandising roles can often be performed remotely, especially for tasks like product listing, data analysis, and marketing, which primarily require a computer and internet connection. To address these challenges, successful merchandisers use robust processes, leverage Shopify's built-in tools, and regularly review site analytics to inform improvements. Adapting quickly to trends and being proactive in problem-solving helps overcome these difficulties and keeps the online store well-organized and appealing to shoppers.

Founding Account Executive (AE)

CWILL

Cary, NC โ€ข Remote

Job description

About us

CWILL builds a unified post-purchase and retention suite used by thousands of Shopify and e-commerce brands. We bring the moments after checkout into one platform โ€” order tracking, returns, shipping protection, reviews, and loyalty โ€” and turn them into a better customer experience, higher retention, and repeat revenue. We are bootstrapped โ€” built on revenue, not venture funding โ€” and fast-growing, now building out our US team, close to our customers and the carriers they depend on.

The role

This is a Founding AE seat. You own the US sales motion end to end โ€” and you build it as you go. There is no playbook yet; you write it. You will source and close e-commerce and Shopify merchants for our unified post-purchase and retention suite, and stand up the pipeline, process, and playbook that the next AEs will run on.

This is for a hunter who is energized by a blank page โ€” not someone who needs a system handed to them. If you do your best work when you are given a target and trusted to figure out the rest, read on.

What you'll do

โ€ข Own the full sales cycle for e-commerce/Shopify merchants: prospecting, discovery, demo, negotiation, close.

โ€ข Build pipeline from scratch โ€” outbound, inbound, events, and the ecosystem (agencies, 3PLs, app partners).

โ€ข Hit and beat aggressive new-revenue targets, and forecast honestly.

โ€ข Build the sales engine, not just close deals: create the playbook, process, and CRM discipline (we run on HubSpot), and turn what works into a repeatable system instead of tribal knowledge in your head.

โ€ข Partner cross-functionally with Partnerships, Customer Success, Product, and our engineering/data team to win and onboard accounts.

โ€ข Be Product's strongest signal from the market โ€” bring field insight and merchant needs into the roadmap, and keep a tight, two-way feedback loop with Product that drives iteration.

Requirements

What we're looking for (must-haves)

โ€ข 3+ years of closing, quota-carrying sales experience in e-commerce and the Shopify ecosystem.

โ€ข Deep knowledge of Shopify and the broader e-commerce ecosystem โ€” apps, agencies, 3PLs, and the post-purchase landscape.

โ€ข A real hunter: ambitious, self-driven, and resilient under pressure. You push deals forward and you don't fold when it gets hard.

โ€ข High-goal orientation with a strong bias to action โ€” you set the bar high and drive toward it without being told to.

โ€ข Structured thinking and the ability to build systems โ€” you create process, documentation, and repeatable motions where none exist today.

โ€ข A documented track record of quota attainment and deals you personally sourced and closed.

โ€ข Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have (a plus)

โ€ข Experience in post-purchase, retention, shipping, or logistics (carriers, 3PLs, fulfillment) โ€” directly relevant to what we sell.

Why this seat is different

โ€ข True 0-to-1 ownership. You build the US sales function โ€” you don't inherit one.

โ€ข Direct access to C-level leadership. You'll work with and report directly to senior executives โ€” your wins define the playbook and the team that comes after you.

โ€ข Outsized impact and upside. [Competitive base + uncapped commission; equity โ€” confirm]

Benefits

Starting Pay: 80-120K + Commission, depends on experiences, open to negotiation
