Now Hiring: Through-Tubing Shop Technician

Location: Midland, Texas

Wildcat Oil Tools is seeking an experienced Through-Tubing Shop Technician to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong mechanical background and hands-on experience working with through-tubing tools. Fishing and rental tool experience is also highly preferred.

The successful candidate will take pride in producing quality work, maintaining safe work practices, and ensuring equipment is field-ready for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, redress, assemble, and pressure test through-tubing tools.
  • Prepare fishing and rental equipment for customer jobs.
  • Inspect returned tools and identify repair requirements.
  • Maintain accurate repair, inspection, and inventory records.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment and tooling.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment safely.
  • Work closely with dispatch and field personnel to ensure equipment is ready on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of through-tubing shop experience.
  • Experience with oilfield fishing and rental tools is strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read repair procedures, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a physically demanding shop environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
