Description:

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted commercial service provider based in the Inland Empire, serving clients throughout California for more than 20 years. We are currently seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our team. The Shop Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a variety of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, stake-bed trucks, vans, pickup trucks, and construction equipment.


Schedule

  • Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, brake and shock replacements
  • Perform work from floor creepers, two-post lifts, jack stands or in-ground lifts
  • Inspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and vehicle performance problems
  • Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and material requirements
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols
  • Perform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelines
  • Assist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of recent, relevant experience as a shop mechanic
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and prepare clear, professional reports and emails
  • Ability to stand, walk, work from floor creepers, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
