Location: Shop Smart, 51370 Hwy 97, LA PINE, OR, 97739

Job Description

Supervises and coordinates activities of 7-30 employees in the Bakery/Deli area. Will interview and hire applicants, order supplies, maintain all paperwork and bookkeeping. Will also do a variety of food prep work including frying chicken, doughnuts and other foods, slicing meats and cheeses, mixing ingredients, baking breads and cakes, stocking shelves and cases, serving customers, taking food orders on the phone, wrapping, weighing and pricing. Will receive payment for products and make change and do general cleaning.

Essential Functions
  • Reports to store manager regularly.
  • Required to meet or exceed budgeted sales, wage and gross profit objectives and operating standards for quality control, merchandising, sales promotion and customer service.
  • Hires, trains, appraises and counsels staff daily, and ensures that personnel are performing to company standards.
  • Directs daily procedures for handling and manufacturing product.
  • Plans and controls product flow.
  • Assigns schedules and supervises staff to meet merchandising and production plans.
  • Ensures that company policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Ensures that reports and requested forms are adequate and submitted properly.
  • Receives products and ingredients checking for quality, correct amounts, shelf-life and proper invoicing.
  • May be required to perform any and all duties of all other positions within the Bakery/Deli including:
    • Any duties and responsibilities of the baking or frying staff.
    • Any duties and responsibilities of the customer service staff.
    • Any duties and responsibilities of the cake decorator.
