Company Overview
EverLine Coatings and Services, a rapidly scaling commercial service brand is looking for an experienced, reliable, and proactive Part-Time Shop Mechanic & Fleet Maintenance Technician to help manage our Seattle Location. Our small but rapidly growing team is in need of a critical Shop Mechanic & Fleet Maintenance Technician to help successfully launch and support our growing network.
Job brief
Part-Time Shop Mechanic & Fleet Maintenance Technician
Keep Our Fleet Running. Help Build a BMW Race Car.
We're looking for a part-time mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment while helping keep our growing business operating smoothly.
This position is primarily responsible for maintaining our company fleet, shop, and pavement maintenance equipment. As a growing startup, we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things organized and running reliably, and doesn't mind wearing multiple hats.
If you're a BMW enthusiast, there's an added bonus.
One of our long-term company projects is building a BMW E30 PRO3 race car that represents our business at enthusiast events and race weekends. While this isn't the primary responsibility of the position, you'll have the opportunity to help build, maintain, and improve the car as part of your role. That's why we're specifically looking for someone with previous BMW mechanical experience and a passion for the brand.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company trucks and fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain enclosed trailers and utility trailers, including brakes, bearings, lights, suspension, wiring, tires, and electrical systems.
  • Repair and maintain commercial equipment, including pressure washers, generators, air compressors, blowers, line stripers, infrared heaters, and other small-engine equipment.
  • Keep shop tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and operating safely.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend preventative maintenance before failures occur.
  • Perform routine inspections and create maintenance schedules for vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Assist with fabrication, modifications, and installation of equipment when needed.

Inventory & Procurement
You'll help ensure our technicians always have the parts, tools, and supplies they need to stay productive by:
  • Managing inventory levels for parts, shop supplies, consumables, and replacement components.
  • Ordering replacement parts, tools, fluids, filters, hardware, and maintenance supplies.
  • Researching vendors to find the best combination of quality, availability, and price.
  • Maintaining organized inventory storage and labeling systems.
  • Tracking equipment repairs, warranties, service intervals, and replacement schedules.
  • Coordinating outside repairs with vendors when specialized work is required.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve shop efficiency through better inventory management and preventative maintenance planning.

Startup Environment
We're a growing company, and everyone pitches in when needed.
While your primary responsibility is maintaining our fleet, equipment, and shop, there may be opportunities to occasionally assist our field crews during busy periods. This could include helping with:
  • Parking lot line striping
  • Sport court striping
  • Asphalt maintenance
  • Sealcoating support
  • Equipment setup and troubleshooting on job sites

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership. If something needs to be fixed, organized, sourced, or improved, you'll have the freedom to make it happen.
The BMW Perk
If you're the kind of person who lights up when talking about BMWs, you'll probably love this part of the job.
Our company is building a BMW E30 PRO3 race car, and we're looking for someone who can help bring it to life. Previous BMW mechanical experience - especially with older BMW platforms - is highly preferred. Experience with E30s is a major plus.
This project is a perk of the position, not the primary responsibility, but it's a unique opportunity for the right person to combine their passion for BMWs with their day-to-day work.
Qualifications
  • Previous BMW mechanical experience required.
  • E30 experience preferred.
  • Experience maintaining work trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.
  • Experience repairing small engines and hydraulic equipment.
  • Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience managing parts inventory or procurement is a plus.
  • Comfortable using computers to research parts, place orders, and maintain maintenance records.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to wear multiple hats in a growing startup.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The BMW Perk
If you're a BMW enthusiast, this is where the job gets really fun.
As part of our company culture, we're building a BMW E30 PRO3 race car that will represent our business at race weekends and enthusiast events throughout the Pacific Northwest. While your primary responsibility will be maintaining our fleet, shop, equipment, and tools, you'll also have the opportunity to help build, maintain, and improve our race car.
That's why we're specifically looking for someone with previous BMW mechanical experience. We're not looking for a professional race mechanic - we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working on BMWs and would appreciate the chance to be involved in a long-term passion project.
PRO3 is one of the largest and most competitive amateur road racing classes in the Pacific Northwest, built around the iconic BMW E30 chassis. The series is known for close racing, driver development, and a strong sense of sportsmanship and community. Learn more about PRO3 here:
Whether it's preparing the car for an event, making performance improvements during the off-season, or simply spending time in the shop turning wrenches, you'll have the opportunity to be part of something unique that most mechanic jobs simply can't offer.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
