Job description

**THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN**

Functions:

  • Manage, develop, mentor, and train employees.
  • Direct and coordinate production activities to maximize equipment and manpower efficiencies.
  • Queue jobs for production based on due dates and assembly requirements.
  • Coordinate the daily activities of production staff to ensure appropriate coverage, work instructions are provided if needed and information required to perform tasks are provided.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the manufacturing process.
  • Resolve daily production concerns including equipment setup, nonconforming parts, and equipment maintenance.
  • Support and drive improvements through corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Support quoting process. Provide input and ideas towards parts and projects to assist in providing the most competitive price.
  • Coordinate production schedule with the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor availability of materials required to meet production schedule.
  • Ensure that work is being performed in accordance to the job requirements and that all safety and ISO procedures are being followed.
  • Support Lean Initiatives.
  • Communicate with Sales Department to expedite job orders and resolve concerns including quality, specifications, and delivery deadlines.
  • Provide support to maintenance technicians in the up-keep of equipment and maintenance records.
  • Research and recommend the purchase of capital equipment including a cost analysis when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Must be a US person
  • Requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Must be able to carry out written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; solve practical problems; perform basic arithmetic calculations;
  • Use a variety of mechanic tools; and communicate effectively with others.

Experience:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with working in an ISO 9000 quality System environment preferred.

Specialized Experience: Ability to read blue prints, proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, internet and email.
