Bell Ford Collision Center is a growing, fast-paced collision repair facility in Phoenix seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Collision Estimator / Body Shop Helper to join our team.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic automotive repair knowledge or estimating experience who wants to grow within a supportive environment. This position combines estimating and parts coordination responsibilities, providing a strong foundation for advancement into a Full Collision Estimator or Body Shop Parts role.


Position Overview

You will work closely with customers, technicians, and senior estimators to assess vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, coordinate parts orders, and help ensure a smooth repair process from start to finish.


The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities


Estimator Duties

  • Write complete estimates and supplements in accordance with company and insurance guidelines, with an emphasis on repair versus replace
  • Take clear and accurate photos of vehicle damage
  • Document and track vehicle progress throughout the repair process
  • Update production schedules and repair statuses
  • Assign labor to technicians and painters
  • Educate customers on the collision repair process, insurance claims, and repair timelines
  • Conduct daily meetings with front office staff to ensure accurate status updates
  • Finalize and line-match supplements prior to vehicle delivery
  • Verify insurance supplements are properly scanned and attached
  • Pre-close files before delivery and prepare files for final billing
  • Ensure estimate verbiage is accurate for billing purposes
  • Perform quality control checks prior to vehicle delivery
  • Deliver completed vehicles and review repairs with customers

Body Shop Helper / Parts Duties

  • Review repair estimates and verify parts availability
  • Receive, inspect, and distribute parts to technicians
  • Track backorders and follow up with vendors
  • Communicate parts status and delays to estimators and technicians
  • Ensure proper invoicing of parts on repair orders
  • Process returns, exchanges, and credits
  • Assist with inventory control and organization
  • Label and store parts appropriately
  • Assist senior estimators with daily tasks
  • Support additional shop duties as assigned by the Shop Manager

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience & Skills

  • Entry-level opportunity
  • Automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, chemicals, noise, and fumes

Pre-Hire Requirements:

  • A valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
