Position Overview:
As a Cut Shop Technician, you will be responsible for cutting metal components to precise specifications, preparing materials, and performing various shop tasks to support our production process.
Day shift: 8-hour days, 5:00 am - 1:30 am, M-F.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately perform metal cutting according to specifications and CAD drawings.
  • Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measures.
  • Prepare materials through grinding and light welding work.
  • Drill, tap, and countersink holes based on CAD drawing requirements.
  • Perform general shop labor and mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Participate in all safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Work in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to use and read measuring tools accurately.
  • Reliable, positive, and strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings, including weld symbols.
  • Strong layout and math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and hand-held power tools.
  • Ability to routinely lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to wearing required PPE while on the manufacturing floor.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience operating horizontal band saws and drill presses.
  • Basic welding and tacking skills.
  • Familiarity with both metric and imperial measuring systems.

Work Environment:
  • Physically active role; indoor and outdoor settings
  • Regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to be comfortable wearing at the job:
