Description

Job Purpose: Play a critical role in construction projects by operating and maneuvering heavy machinery and equipment. Your expertise in operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes will be essential for tasks such as excavation, material handling, grading, and site preparation. Your precision and adherence to safety protocols will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.

Reporting Relationships
  • Position reports to: Laborer Foreman or Superintendent
Competencies
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders to perform assigned tasks.
  • Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to carry out excavation, grading, and material handling operations.
  • Safely and skillfully maneuver equipment to load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner, considering surrounding workers and structures.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills related to equipment operation and safety practices.

Education and Experience Language Skills:

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

Occasionally must stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and climb and balance. Must be able to talk, hear, taste and smell and use hands to finger, handle and feel.
