Job Overview
The Shoe Expeditor is responsible for processing new merchandise and recovering the shoe sales area as well as maintaining high customer service and presentation standards. Perform other duties as needed
Essential Functions
  • Recover shoe sales floor and scan inventory back into stock
  • Maintain integrity of shoe inventory by ensuring accuracy of scanning and placement
  • Receive and process new merchandise
  • Assist in moving tables and fixtures on shoe sales floor for new merchandise, season changes, clearance sets, and special events
  • Set up shoe displays for new merchandise, season changes, clearance sets, and special events
  • Pull orders from stock and stage for selling colleagues
  • Fulfill shoe orders
  • Process damages, return to vendors, and shoe jobbers
  • Replenish displays and other products as needed
  • Assist in the markdown process
  • Assist in seasonal inventory
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of shoe sales area
  • Attend to customer service needs in a friendly and helpful manner when approached
  • Maintain high customer readiness standards by delivering a clean, neat, easy to shop store environment
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications and Competencies
  • No Education or Experience Required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
  • Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Essential Physical Requirements
  • Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision and climbing ladders
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
  • This position requires constant handling of heavy and/or bulky items as well as sharp items such as box cutters and scissors
  • Reasonable accommodations have been made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions
  • Work generally occurs in a retail store environment with moderate temperature and noise level
