Job description

QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR A
GENERAL FUNCTION: Pipe Inspection includes, but not limited to in-process, in-bound, and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards, owner specifications, ABS and or USCG requirements.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities:
Inspects parts, products and or processes to insure conformance with standards, specifications or regulations.
Conducts tests to verify specified dimensions, strengths and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Completes inspection records and reports.
Sets up inspections by ABS and U.S. Coast Guard based on regulations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School diploma with 5-10 years of broad shipyard experience in various craft areas required. Certification in quality control is prefered.
