Job description

The NDT Quality Inspector verifies that precision machined parts, assemblies, and components meet engineering specifications by applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. Performs NDT inspections of incoming and in-process materials using radiographic and dye penetrant testing techniques. Record in SAP and on quality records the status of inspection of all assigned parts. Interface appropriately with all external and internal customers and suppliers, including source inspectors. Ensure product quality, workmanship, conformance to all applicable processes, requirements, and regular regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system.
Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Successfully perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using tools like pin gages, micrometers, and calipers
  • Have some technical proficiency and expertise in various NDT methods and equipment
  • Have ASNT Level II or III certification or be able to become certified after hire
  • Have a strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
  • Have an ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with dimensional and functional requirements.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to nuclear manufacturing.
  • Experience in SAP a plus
  • Experience in precision mechanical inspection in a quality control environment specific to manufacturing
  • Commitment to being a team player with a flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems or changes
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
