Mission

Reporting to the Distribution & Shipping Manager, the Import / Export Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and serves as the main point of contact for customs-related activities and export documentation.
This position is based in a manufacturing environment within the aerospace industry, where shipments are primarily destined for the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Customs & Trade Compliance
โ€ข Prepare all required documentation for international shipments (Bills of Lading, packing lists, certificates, and other export documents).
โ€ข Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
โ€ข Complete export declarations, manage required permits, and validate HS Codes and Incoterms.
โ€ข Serve as the primary contact for customs brokers, carriers, and government authorities.
โ€ข Stay up to date on applicable import/export regulations and trade compliance requirements.
Shipping Coordination
โ€ข Coordinate international shipments with internal teams and logistics partners.
โ€ข Manage priorities, urgent requests, and delivery-related issues, particularly during month-end peak periods.
โ€ข Support the shipping team and provide backup coverage during employee absences.
Processes & Administration
โ€ข Contribute to the continuous improvement and compliance of shipping procedures.
โ€ข Process shipping invoices, credit notes, and ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
โ€ข Maintain records and documentation related to import and export activities.

Your profile

Qualifications
Education & Experience
โ€ข 1-3 years of experience in import/export, international logistics, or transportation.
โ€ข Experience with exports to the United States and customs documentation.
โ€ข Manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
โ€ข Good knowledge of Canadian export regulations, U.S. customs requirements, Incoterms, and HS Codes.
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
Soft Skills
