Our client is a fast-growing manufacturing company in the food industry. As part of its continued growth, the company is looking for a Receiving & Shipping Supervisor to help structure and optimize its logistics operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee the day-to-day receiving and shipping activities within a manufacturing environment. As a hands-on leader, you will coordinate warehouse staff, transportation providers, and daily operations while actively contributing to operational planning, process improvements, and the overall performance of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise receiving, shipping, and material handling activities.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 employees.
Plan daily operations and coordinate external carriers.
Ensure operational priorities are met and deliveries are completed on time.
Monitor inventory, shipping documentation, and outbound shipments.
Collaborate closely with production, planning, and other internal departments.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide hands-on operational support whenever needed.

Your profile

Profile
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, process implementation, or KPI monitoring.
Good knowledge of receiving, shipping, and carrier coordination operations.
Experience in a regulated environment (food, pharmaceutical, or similar) is considered an asset.
Good knowledge of HACCP standards.
Experience with WMS or ERP systems.
French is required; functional English is required.
