Job description

The Shipping Supervisor supports daily warehouse operations within the shipping department, ensuring that materials, components, and finished goods move efficiently from picking and shipping. This role coordinates warehouse staff, maintains accurate inventory, ensures timely delivery of materials to staging areas, coordinates loading activities, and manages other warehouse needs. The Shipping Supervisor acts as a key link between warehouse operations, production teams, and management.
Requirements
โ€ข Keep up with reports that notate orders to be pulled on a daily basis.
โ€ข Use computer to check inventory levels.
โ€ข Be sure all LTLs are complete.
โ€ข Be sure that reports show stock in storage in both buildings.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned by management.
โ€ข Oversee picking, shipping, and loading processes
โ€ข Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system
โ€ข Investigate and escalate inventory discrepancies
โ€ข Assign daily tasks and monitor performance of warehouse associates
โ€ข Train team members on equipment, processes, and safety procedures
โ€ข Provide coaching, feedback, and support to build a high performing team
โ€ข Serve as the go to resource for operational questions and problem solving
โ€ข Enforce OSHA and company safety standards throughout the warehouse
โ€ข Ensure proper operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free warehouse environment
โ€ข Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process gaps to management
โ€ข Verify accuracy of incoming materials and outgoing shipments
โ€ข Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and traceability of materials
โ€ข Support quality control processes related to material handling and storage
Knowledge/Experience:
โ€ข Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in shipping.
โ€ข Must have experience driving a forklift.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees.
โ€ข Must have Basic Math skills.
โ€ข Must be able to use a computer with accuracy.
โ€ข Must be able to operate a forklift, pallet jack, or hand cart.
Education Requirement:
