Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing tool manufacturing organization opening a new facility in Elk Grove Village. Our client offers a collaborative environment focused on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Job Description:

The Shipping & Receiving clerk assists daily inbound and outbound shipping activities while supporting inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. This role combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with verifying, tracking and shipping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily shipping activities, primarily small packages, with occasional high-volume days
  • Coordinate weekly backorder shipments to meet delivery deadlines
  • Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory
  • Process and track customer returns
  • Distribute inbound packages to appropriate departments
  • Handle shipping and organization of marketing and promotional materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory through routine counts and audits
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including international partners as needed
  • Monitor and replenish shipping supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of shipping and receiving experience with inventory control
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (people management title not required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Pallet jack experience preferred

Additional Details:

  • This role is in the office Monday-Friday 8-5pm
  • Out of state training provided for hands-on learning
