Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator role provides comprehensive support to increase efficiency in workshop project workflow. Key responsibilities include: Shipping & Receiving; Inventory management; Organizing and staging materials in the workshop (including housekeeping) for the job preparation phase; Occasional transport of equipment to/from customers and suppliers;

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload and receive deliveries, verify quantities are correct and identify and document missing or incorrect items.
  • Stage and store received items in their proper location.
  • Inventory management, including monthly cycle counts.
  • Properly arrange, stage and/or store items after workshop disassembly.
  • Verify quantities, stage, and prepare items for each work order, prior to the start of the assembly process.
  • Package parts/equipment into appropriate shipping containers and prepare for shipment; load trucks.
  • Provide shipping documentation and coordinate transportation of shipments.
  • Occasionally transport and deliver equipment to and/or pick-up equipment from, customers and suppliers.
  • Interface with project management, technical personnel, logistics, purchasing and other staff as needed to complete projects.
  • Daily workshop housekeeping activities to ensure clean, organized and safe work areas.
  • Provide any additional support where needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Qualifications

    • Forklift experience required.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
    • Knowledge of overhead crane, including hoisting and rigging techniques, with experience preferred.
    • Knowledge in the use of hand and power tools is required.
    • Must have ability to multi-task and handle multiple assignments at one time.
    • Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred.
    • Computer Skills Required: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Windows, Basic ERP experience, general data entry and documentation skills.
    • Ability to follow step-by-step procedures with accuracy is required.
    • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Education Requirements: Vocational or High School.
