Location: Birmingham, AL

About the Role
The primary role of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is to serve as the central point of focus for receiving, storing, tracking, and delivering parts. This position is also responsible for crating shipments and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of consumable parts.
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk works closely with the Operations Manager to discuss shipping schedules and priorities and will notify the Operations Manager when consumable parts need to be purchased.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and verify incoming parts.
  • Store parts in an organized and orderly manner.
  • Verify inventory accuracy of stored parts.
  • Deliver parts to the Production department.
  • Crate shipments for delivery.
  • Monitor consumable inventory levels.
  • Create bills of lading and packing lists for shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain shipping and handling equipment, ensuring tools are operating efficiently and arranging for repair or replacement when needed.
  • Assist in the Production department as workload permits.
Qualifications amp; Experience
  • Some electrical and/or technical equipment experience is preferred but not required.
  • The successful candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, and technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer software is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
