Shipping/Receiving Lead

Location: Irving, TX
Pay: $22–$24 per hour
Schedule: Full-time


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead to oversee daily shipping and receiving activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring materials and products are received, processed, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations.
  • Supervise, train, and support warehouse employees.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Inspect products and materials for damage or discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing lists, and related paperwork.
  • Enter and maintain shipment and inventory information in warehouse or ERP systems.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled, staged, and stored.
  • Coordinate material movement between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Communicate with drivers, vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
  • Monitor workflow and help ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Enforce company safety procedures and proper equipment operation.
  • Assist with resolving shipping, receiving, inventory, and production-related issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Previous Shipping/Receiving Lead, Warehouse Lead, or similar leadership experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising warehouse personnel.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
  • Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems, or ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
