Shipping Quality Control TechnicianSea Fox Boats

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Quality Control Technician to help ensure every boat leaving our facility meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, functionality, and presentation before reaching our dealers and customers.

Position Overview

The Shipping Quality Control Technician plays a key role in the final inspection and shipping process. This position is responsible for conducting detailed quality inspections, documenting issues, verifying completed repairs, and ensuring boats are shipment-ready and defect-free.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform final quality inspections on scheduled boats prior to shipment

  • Conduct detailed inspections of:

    • Gel coat finish and cosmetic appearance

    • Upholstery, interior fit, and finish

    • Assembly components for proper fit and damage

    • Electrical systems and operational functions

    • Engine functionality and performance checks

    • Overall cleanliness and presentation standards

  • Create and maintain detailed rework lists and inspection documentation

  • Verify all repairs and corrections have been completed accurately

  • Ensure all shipping items, accessories, and loose parts are properly secured and stowed

  • Complete load packets and maintain accurate photo documentation

  • Upload inspection scans and photos into the company database in a timely manner

  • Maintain organized records and shipping documentation

  • Communicate quality concerns, defects, and shipping issues with the Shipping/QC Supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed

  • Basic knowledge of the marine industry preferred

  • Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude

  • Understanding of fit-and-finish expectations and quality standards for new boats
