Quality Inspector
Location: Melbourne, Florida
About the Opportunity
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, requirements of this position include being eligible to work with export-controlled products and related data without restriction.
Take the next step in your career with a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector responsible for a wide variety of quality inspections on aerospace parts and assemblies and assures compliance with a variety of dimensional and contractual requirements of products with complex geometry and configurations inspections on aerospace performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distribution and order fulfillment of products, materials, parts and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect dimensions and assembly of various electronic and fabricated products using measuring instruments and devices, such as surface plate, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers
  • Inspect products for defects, poor workmanship and/or document discrepancies
  • Review production documentation, vendor certifications and test reports for product compliance with quality standards or customer requirements
  • Approve or reject parts, assemblies, and materials, and prepare inspection reports
  • May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated
  • Inspect circuit cards and other assemblies for compliance to IPC-610, J-STD-001 and customer specifications
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required, plus four years of experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic shop floor control or document management systems.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to support standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Must also be able to support overtime on weekdays or weekends as required to support business needs. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
