If you like hands-on work, working with customers, and learning the ins and outs of scrap metal - this role puts you right in the middle of the action. As a Material Grader at Trademark Metals Recycling, you'll receive incoming scrap, weigh and grade materials, and keep the warehouse moving efficiently. You'll learn to identify metals, catch what doesn't belong, and make sure every load is processed accurately. Daily Job Duties - What You'll Do
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures - attend safety meetings and look out for yourself and your teammates
  • Receive customers' scrap metal at the kiosk, weigh it, enter the correct material code into the system, and move it to the right container in the warehouse
  • Inspect incoming scrap and vehicles - advise customers on what's accepted, flag non-accepted material, and take deductions as needed
  • Assist with weighing, sorting, and moving material throughout the warehouse - physical handling of materials is a core part of the job
  • Operate a forklift to move material in the yard and warehouse (or learn - we train)
  • Keep your work area clean and safe - sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up as needed
  • Cross-train in other positions and jump in wherever the team needs you

You're the connection between the customer and the scale - accuracy and hustle matter here. No scrap metal experience required - we provide paid training to get you up to speed fast.
Job Requirements - What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 1 year of general labor experience - preferably in scrap metal, warehousing, or construction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-stop outdoor and warehouse environment
  • Able to stand or walk for most of the shift (up to 12 hours)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat and all weather conditions
  • Dependable - shows up on time and stays on task without constant supervision
  • Able to shift priorities quickly and complete tasks safely and effectively
  • Forklift experience is a plus (not required - we train)
  • Flexible to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Candidates within 50 miles of location preferred
  • Must pass a hair drug test and background check
