The Quality Control Inspection Supervisor is responsible for planning and managing inspection workflows to meet labor, material, quality, and schedule objectives. The supervisor also oversees the Quality Control inspection team, providing direction, coordination, and leadership to ensure timely and cost-effective inspection activities that support production requirements.
This position reports to the site Sr. Quality Manager and is part of the Aerospace quality department located in New Port Richey, FL and is an on-site role.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Work closely with internal value streams, external customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure products are fully compliant and meet all customer and Pall requirements and expectations.
  • Apply your knowledge of quality management, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies while coaching, mentoring, and developing inspectors to ensure consistent performance and adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate Danaher Business System (DBS) into quality inspection including updating charts (Visual Management tools), report inspection yield metrics and activities, team goals and countermeasures to management during Daily Management meetings, and associate training.
  • Manage associate performance and development including recognition, feedback, corrective / disciplinary actions, training, and developmental processes, and daily attendance.
  • Coordinate with customer source inspectors and government source inspectors, when needed, to ensure no impact on production schedules.
  • Maintain departmental training matrix and ensure redundant coverage for all customers that require source and FAA inspection.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree in quality or an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of quality control experience in a regulated industry. (i.e. Aerospace or Automotive)
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience supervising a team of six or more individuals performing inspection-related activities.
  • Skilled in the use of inspection tools and equipment. (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, and other precision instruments)
  • Knowledgeable in AS9100/AS9102/AS9110 - Aerospace Quality Management System Requirements
  • Knowledgeable in interpreting complex engineering part drawings & Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T).

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
  • Less than 5% travel is expected for this position.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30 lbs.
  • Bend, sit and/or stand for long periods of time

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • ASQ certification in quality
  • AS9100 lead auditor
