Your Role

Responsible for taking direction from Shipping Supervisor in planning and coordinating all activities relating to the preparation and shipment of finished goods from the factory.  Manages and maintains the shipping operations in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities: 

    • Ensure all domestic and international shipments comply with applicable trade regulations and company standards
    • Coordinate, prepare, pack, and execute shipments in accordance with requirements across multiple modes with carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers
    • Audit shipments to ensure alignment between physical goods, orders, and system records
    • Process domestic and international shipments through ERP and carrier systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, IFS)
    • Classify products and ensure accurate declaration of origin, value, and shipment details
    • Prepare and review export documentation required for international shipments
    • Resolve shipping, customs, and documentation issues in a timely manner
    • Maintain accurate, audit-ready shipping records across systems
    • Monitor shipments and communicate status or exceptions to stakeholders
    • Identify and escalate compliance risks related to restricted shipments and trade controls
    • Process daily invoices.
    • Ensure strict adherence to ISO standard operating procedures and accuracy of all shipping documents.
    • Monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required.
    • Complete necessary management reports as required.
    • Help with or complete special projects at the discretion of the Supervisor/Manager.
    • Exercise practical confidentiality in discussions regarding company's financial data.

    Ability to quickly adapt to ERP and shipping systems

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education & Experience: 

    • High School graduate required
    • Experience utilizing an MRP system, IFS is preferred.
    • Experience with a computerized dispatch shipping system
    • Experience with international shipping or trade compliance
    • Experience creating shipping documents/certificates in Word
    • Import /Export knowledge, NAFTA, USMCA, Korea-US FTA Certification

    Knowledge & Skills: 

    • Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline traits.
    • Qualified forklift driver
    • PC computer familiarity – experience with Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Demonstrated effective communication skills written, oral, and inter-personal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handling frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
    • Positive and flexible attitude
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Organized and efficient
    • Ability to communicate fluently in English

    WORKING CONDITIONS:     

    The environmental conditions of this job include working near moving mechanical parts, caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles with moderate noise levels.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Good level of fitness is required.  This position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.  There is often lifting/carrying of materials.  Average vision and hearing are sufficient.
