Load Lanes Assistant Manager

We are a fast-growing startup organization seeking a full-time Load Lanes Assistant Manager to join our VPC team. The position is an onsite position, working Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch. As a growing organization, we offer numerous opportunities for professional growth. Responsible for coordinating the movement and monitoring the status of all vehicles in the load lanes. This is the main point of contact for the Vehicle Logistics and Rail teams, regarding issues with load lane vehicles. Ensures issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Reports to: Yard Ops Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with shipping partner to ensure priority vehicles are shipped on-time.
  • Monitors aged inventory in the load lanes and ensures they are being shipped.
  • Runs daily reports on status of vehicles in load lane
  • Moves vehicles out of load lane that are not shippable.
  • Ensures vehicles in load lane are released to ship.
  • Responds to Truck and Rail issues promptly.
  • Ensures that monthly shipping numbers are obtained.
  • Ensures that vehicle locations are updated correctly in the load lanes.
  • Resolves dead battery issues.
  • Bays up vehicles as needed.
  • Performs checks to ensure vehicles are prepped for shipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in management or related field and 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Rail and or Truck Shipment experience required
  • Load Lane Experience Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication required
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Work well in a team setting
  • Must be able to successfully pass Motor Vehicle Report
  • Strong ability to multitask


This role routinely will be working outdoors at heights including ladders and elevated platforms for maintenance. Candidate will be operating loaders, forklifts, handling tools, heavy machinery. This role is exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, harsh weather. Exposure to dust from construction sites, agriculture, and demolition is expected.

The estimated base salary range for the Load Lane Assistant Manager is $86,000-$90,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
