Job description

Come build the future of international shipping at Amazon! We're seeking an exceptional commercial leader to define and scale the business strategy for Amazon Shipping's Cross Border solution, enabling seamless international parcel delivery across our operating geographies. As the Business Leader for Cross Border Shipping, you'll initially own the commercial strategy-developing go-to-market positioning, pricing, and customer acquisition-and then transition to program enablement and scaling as the solution matures into a complete cross-border offering. Working alongside dedicated Product and Technology partners, you'll shape how businesses and consumers ship internationally by leveraging Amazon's unparalleled logistics network, technology, and global footprint. You'll collaborate with talented teams across Amazon to solve complex challenges spanning customs, compliance, multi-country operations, and last-mile delivery to create a world-class cross-border shipping experience. If you're passionate about building something transformative and making a lasting impact on global commerce, this role is for you.
Commercial Strategy & Market Development:
Own and drive the comprehensive commercial strategy for Amazon Shipping's Cross Border program across all operating geographies. Develop pricing models, customer segmentation frameworks, and go-to-market strategies that position Amazon Shipping as a competitive alternative to major integrators for international parcel delivery. Identify and prioritize lane opportunities based on volume potential, margin attractiveness, and strategic value. Build and execute partnership strategies with customs brokers, international carriers, and trade facilitators. Define compelling value propositions for different customer segments-from SMB e-commerce sellers to enterprise shippers-and partner with Sales teams to drive customer acquisition and volume growth.
Program Enablement & Scaling: Lead the transition from commercial strategy to full program ownership as the Cross Border solution scales. Design and implement the operational and business framework required to support international shipping at scale-including process design, business requirements, compliance workflows, and customs/trade management. Define the program roadmap from pilot to general availability, establishing clear milestones and success criteria at each stage. Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure operational readiness across sortation, linehaul, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery in destination countries. Partner with Product and Technology counterparts to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, removing barriers to growth and ensuring consistent customer experience across all supported lanes.
Product Development: Partner with Product and Technology teams to define and prioritize the Cross Border product roadmap. Serve as the business voice driving requirements for customs documentation automation, multi-country rate engines, end-to-end tracking, and duty/tax transparency. Identify opportunities to leverage Amazon's existing infrastructure and technology to accelerate cross-border capabilities. Provide commercial input to pilot programs that test key hypotheses and gather shipper feedback. Drive continuous iteration on the customer experience based on market signals and competitive intelligence.
Operational Excellence & Compliance: Drive performance across cross-border-specific metrics including customs clearance SLA, landed-cost accuracy, transit time consistency, and shipment visibility. Partner with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export controls, and country-specific import requirements. Lead initiatives to reduce customs exceptions and clearance delays through proactive data quality and documentation standards. Define and track key performance indicators that measure program health and identify areas for operational improvement across all active lanes.
Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the central commercial leader for Amazon Shipping's Cross Border initiative across a group of critical stakeholders. Build and maintain strong partnerships with Operations, Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and international counterparts. Drive regular business reviews with senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations and progress updates on commercial performance and scaling milestones. Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent program implementation across geographies while maintaining flexibility for market-specific requirements and regulatory environments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
