Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Pay: $22 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our food manufacturing plant in Ogden, UT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming and outgoing shipments of food products, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to communicate within the department and keep things orderly, flowing, and guide with planning and procurement 
  • Move product by driving a sit-down forklift
  • Keep files of goods shipped by preparing regular shipping reports for the manager
  • Keep the warehouse organized and ensure merchandise within the warehouse is properly boxed and stored goods are in their designated location 
  • Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and clients and see to it all external parties receive a positive interaction with the company 
  • Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition 
  • Work with the shipping/receiving clerks to see that all paperwork is handled promptly, and goods are shipped/received and stored properly 
  • Schedule shipments with partner trucking companies per the instructions of the Shipping Supervisor
  • Support the warehouse supervisor in their absence.
  • Observe all Safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write, and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes  
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required 
  • 1+ years of forklift experience required    
  • 1+ years working in a warehouse setting   
  • Must have flexibility with the variety of work responsibilities available  
  • Skill in organization, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ERP and inventory management software

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Work in refrigerated environments as needed.
