Key Responsibilities:
As a Shipfitter, you will perform steel and aluminum structural work on various marine vessels, including U.S. Naval Vessels, Military Sealift Command, and commercial ships. This role involves:
  • Conducting repairs and modernization work with minimal supervision.
  • Utilized solid mechanical aptitude and adhered to detailed job specifications.
  • Reading blueprints, interpreting drawings, and measuring accurately.
  • Fabricating templates and installing structures according to specifications.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Strong comprehension of instructions, drawings, and correspondence.
  • In-depth understanding of ship repair terminology and compartment location nomenclature.
  • Physical capability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with OSHA standards.
