CDR General Services is currently seeking a Ship Welder for a full-time position in South Point, OH. This position is ideal for a highly skilled welder with experience in shipyard or barge repair environments. The ideal candidate is motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Pay Rate: $24 – $31 per hour (DOE)
Average Hours: 50 – 60 hours per week
Schedule
  • Monday – Friday
    • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
    • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding on ships and marine structures, including repair and fabrication work
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
  • Weld using processes such as Stick (SMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) as required
  • Repair and replace structural components including plates, frames, and bulkheads
  • Ensure weld quality, penetration, and alignment meet specifications
  • Operate welding equipment, torches, grinders, and hand tools safely
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company safety standards
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently
