Job description

CDR General Services is seeking a General Labor / Shop Helper to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA with experience working in an industrial or shop environment. The ideal candidate for this position will be a motivated individual with strong work ethics, willingness to learn, and the ability to support daily shop operations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details
Position: General Labor / Shop Helper
Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Job Type: Temporary to Hire
Pay Rate: $12 +
Schedule: Monday through Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime: May be available on Fridays and Saturdays
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with cleaning duties and support other employees with daily operations
· Use grinders to improve the finish of metal parts
· Organize and handle small metal pieces and materials
· Hang materials on racks for production processes
· Assist with loading and unloading materials
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Follow supervisor instructions and complete additional assigned tasks
· Support shop operations while learning the role and responsibilities
Qualifications
· Ability to safely lift and move materials
· Willingness to learn and follow instructions
· Basic experience using hand and power tools
· Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
· Ability to work in an industrial/shop environment
· Bilingual is a plus
