About This Role

Currently hiring for positions in our main store in Wheat Ridge. Seasonal, full, and part-time service department positions available.


What You'll Do

SERVICE WRITERS

Service Writers are solely responsible for check-in/out, diagnosing issues and selling service solutions. Service Writers must be very knowledgeable in the wide range of current and older componentry, including:

  • Road, mountain, gravel and commuter bike drivetrains
  • Wheels
  • Suspension
  • Braking systems
  • E-bike motors from Shimano, Bosch, Hyena, TQ & Specialized
  • All other bicycle systems of various technological eras that will be encountered in a diagnostic format

Dynamic personality, positive attitude, professionalism and a proven ability to provide customers with best-in-class service. This is a very busy, high-volume service department. The ability to provide engaged and thorough care and empathy for each and every customer is key to the success of the department and to the continued high esteem we enjoy in our market. Listening closely and providing a legendary customer service experience are mandatory!


SERVICE TECHS

The WRC Service Lab is paradise for the discriminating bicycle mechanic, featuring 16 full-service bays, dedicated wheel building department, and a fully outfitted, dedicated mountain bike suspension service room. This is bicycle mechanic heaven!


BIKE BUILDERS

Builders are responsible for the assembly of new bikes for sales floor.

  • Assemble and tune new bikes to a high standard of quality and with high productivity.
  • Builders assemble: one-speed children’s bikes, road & gravel bikes of all grades, full suspension mountain bikes, e-bikes, custom builds, cargo bikes and more!
  • Typical build tasks include: run cables, mount various components, true wheels, adjust brakes and drivetrain, check bolts and make the bike ready to ride
  • Experience as a bicycle assembler or bicycle mechanic preferred

  • Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience

  • Interest in developing your skills and knowledgebase
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends

Additional duties and responsibilities:

  • Ability to produce top quality work while maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout most of work shift
  • Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up to 35 lbs frequently

Monthly sales-goal based bonuses up to $800
