Job description

Management Services Corporation, one of The Caton Companies, is seeking a Shift Coordinator for Sunchase Cinema 8 located in Farmville, Virginia.

Going to the movies is the all-American experience! We’re expecting to expand our hours very soon as COVID-19 restrictions are eased, and we will be ready! Our Shift Coordinator plays a vital role in a smoothly operating cinema and a fantastic movie experience for our guests. They should be organized, friendly, and customer-focused.

The Shift Coordinator is responsible for directing other employees through their routines and interacting with customers to make sure they have a satisfactory experience. The Shift Coordinator runs the staff when the manager or assistant manager is not on duty. This is a part-time position at this time.

Essential Functions

  • Key responsibilities include managing the staff by upholding standards of presentation, food quality, excellent guest service and maintaining a positive can do attitude.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and performance management for a team of exceptional and diverse talent
  • Participate as the Leader on Duty, setting the example that no task is beneath you
  • Ensure the cinema operates seamlessly
  • Manage customer, associate, and operational escalations
  • Remove barriers for the team and support them in identifying problems
  • Execute solutions
  • Adhere to high safety and quality standards and communicate and uphold those standards to the team

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position; typical work hours (for now) and days are Friday through Sunday, including holidays, 11:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Availability on nights and weekends is required.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience in handling computerized ticketing systems is preferred.
