Shift: Evening/Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Position reports to the Emergency Department Manager and Team Leader designee. Provide clerical support for initiation, organization and completion of patients medical record and unit functions. Greet and serve as a patient liaison to the Emergency Department upon patient arrival and their stay in the department. Handle all interdepartmental calls/ requests to coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges. Enter consultations timely and accurately to facilitate medical decision-making. Orient and train new employees in same role and cross training additional ancillary staff. Responsible for resolving a variety of questions, discrepancies, problems and inquiries within scope of responsibility. Provide patient support services based on department needs with support services. Plan, organize and direct all unit activities within the unit coordinator function.
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of electronic medical record system and related secretarial as preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
