Job description

DESCRIPTION
MedFresh is a fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant focused on fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked-to-order meals. We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our small kitchen team.
This role combines food preparation and line cooking responsibilities. You'll be preparing ingredients in the morning and executing service during lunch and dinner - grilling meats, operating the shawarma machine, frying food, baking fresh bread, and assembling bowls and sandwiches. Because we are a smaller operation, every team member matters. We're looking for someone who works clean, moves with purpose, and takes pride in consistency and food safety.
Responsibilities
Prep Responsibilities:
• Wash, cut, and portion vegetables and fresh ingredients
• Marinate and portion meats according to recipe standards
• Prepare sauces and house-made items using exact measurements
• Label, date, and properly store all food
• Maintain a clean and organized prep area
• Monitor food levels and communicate when items need restocking
Line Cook Responsibilities:
• Grill meats and proteins to proper temperature and quality standards
• Fry items while maintaining proper oil quality and cook times
• Operate bread oven and monitor baking consistency
• Assemble sandwiches and bowls accurately and efficiently
• Prepare fresh salads to portion and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation during service
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
• Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner rushes
Qualifications:
• Previous kitchen, grill, or prep experience preferred (fast-casual experience is a plus)
• Comfortable working with hot equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, and rotisserie machines
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• ServSafe certification is a plus (not required)
