Job Title

Lift Truck Operator II: Calhoun, GA

Position Overview

We are currently looking to fill 2nd and 3rd shift openings

Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train Distribution Associates who will play an important role in the manufacture of carpet tiles for a wide variety of commercial customers. In this role, associates will gain diverse work experiences and exposure to multiple areas of distribution. We're looking for individuals who are ambitious, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, retrieve, and transport materials and pallets throughout the distribution warehouse.

  • Maintain paperwork to receive and track materials as required.

  • Wrap and band Hard Surface materials prepared on pallets. Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.

  • Read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders.

  • Tape and repair any damaged packaging. Maintain clean and tidy workspaces.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using computers to perform data entry and to read and interpret instructions.

  • Able to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Must be able to see small numbers and words as displayed on computer screens.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs to build pallets with boxes of carpet tiles.

  • Not afraid of heights.
